The University of California — Irvine retained The Pulse Group to assist them in the development of a renovation and repositioning plan for their University Club and Conference Center facility. As part of our work, we completed a detailed assessment of existing facilities and operations, evaluated trends affecting UCI as a hospitality market, designed and implemented two intercept surveys with club members and non-members, facilitated a series of focus groups with key user groups and undertook a detailed review of major university club operations nationally for comparison purposes. Based on the work completed, we developed a detailed renovation and expansion plan for the facility and worked closely with foodservice designers and architects to create a set of presentation materials showcasing the proposed plan. Recommendations were also provided with respect to operations and marketing for the new facility.
