About This Project

Pulse Group professionals were retained by the Los Angeles Convention and Visitor’s Bureau to assist them in developing a tracking system for the Travel Trade Promotions Department. As part of our work we evaluated existing lead and sales production information and data collection methods, interviewed major tour wholesalers and FAM tour participants from 15 international markets (Mexico, UK, Germany, Japan, etc.). Our final work product contained four key deliverables including correlating the Bureau’s travel trade sales and activities into quantifiable and comparable industry production standards (room nights, visitor spending), a tracking system which could quantify hotel sales travel trade lead production, a tour wholesaler tracking system, and a FAM tour effectiveness quantification system.
