Pulse Group professionals worked with Moore Creative to identify the best content and communication channels to showcase the successful ecosystem and salmon restoration work of the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board’s (OWEB) Deschutes Basin Special Investment Partnership (SIP). A seminal challenge of our work was to successfully set SIP’s project apart from myriad river restoration projects nationwide. This industry has become an estimated billion-dollar-per-year business in the U.S., with 37,000 projects estimated in 2005. The Pulse Group’s role was to conduct targeted research with Executive Directors and Program Specialists within successful national and regional foundations (e.g., Hewlett, Mott, Doris Duke, etc.) to isolate compelling story elements of the project as well as identify unique communication points and channels.
