The Cal Poly Foundation retained The Pulse Group to undertake a market analysis and development programming for a new 60,000 university center with retail, meal plan and conference/event elements. During the course of our work we analyzed the market potential for the proposed facility, evaluated the impact of the proposed facility on the existing portfolio of campus hospitality services and formulated a development strategy for the proposed project both in terms of size and scope, which was responsive to market conditions and promoted synergy between operating units. In addition our work involved making a series of business recommendations with respect to the CPF foodservice program, aimed at enhancing customer image/appeal, building stronger operating performance and bolstering its market position relative to off campus competition.
